Last October 4 and  5, the High School Department of The Nazarene Catholic School in Quiapo, Manila, underwent a formal survey visit with the prestigious Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities ( PAASCU ) and a re-survey visit for the Grade School Department last October 25 and 26, 2007.

The formal survey team for the High School Department was composed of the following:  Ms. Myrna Abiog (Member, PAASCU Commission on Educ.), Ms. Jocelyn Andaya ( High School Principal-Lourdes School, Quezon City), Mrs. Luzviminda Dionisio ( Former Asst. Principal of St. Scholastica?? College, Manila), Ms. Lopita Crisostomo (IMC Coordinator-St. Mary?? Academy, Pasay), Mr. Ricardo Ventic (HRD-St. Joseph?? College, Quezon City) and Dr. Angelito Antonio ( School of Education-University of Asia and the Pacific, Ortigas ).

On the otherhand, the re-survey team for the Grade School Department was composed of the following: Mr. Ramon Guinto (Registrar-San Beda College, Manila), Ms. Mary Jane Gonzales (Science Area Coordinator-School of the Holy Spirit, Quezon City), Dr. Rosalie Trongco (Basic Educ. Principal-St. Mary?? Academy, Sta. Ana), Mrs. Sonia Reyes (LRC Coordinator-Assumption, Antipolo). Mr. Jose dele Cruz (Officer of Student Services-La Consolacion College, Caloocan City).

Through intensive checking of documents, interviews and observations, the High School Department was evaluated by the formal survey team on the area of faculty, instruction, library, laboratories/physical plants and student services/school and community.  For the re-survey team, they evaluated the following areas in the Grade School Department namely: faculty, instructional program, instructional media center, student activity program, student services and facilities.

The Nazarene Catholic School on its 57 years of offering quality education was finally granted re-for period of five years in the Elementary Department and an initial accreditation for a period of three years in the High School Department last November 28, 2007.  Yes, the smallest accredited school in the MAPSA and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila Educational System.
